how so i potty train a almost 4 year old child who has ADHD?

My sister is 3 about to be 4 in 3 weeks! my mom really wants her potty trained before school but she is stubborn and has ADHD. she hates to still down she even starts screaming. she won't tell anyone she has to pee or poop and with out a diaper she will just do it on the floor. help me please.

No smart doctor would diagnose ADHD that young. Most kids that age are wild. Cut out processed sugar (ice cream, cookies, things that have too much in it). No juice. Just water.



She should have started potty training much sooner, before 3. It will be much more difficult now because she has been in diapers longer than she should have.



We use a timer and regular underwear. At first we had our 2.5 year old go sit on the potty for about 3-5 minutes every 15 minutes. If he got up, he was forced to sit back down. As he became more aware, we increased the time to about every 20-25 minutes for 3-4 minutes. He is now going every hour during the day, with no-little accidents. He only wears diapers at night or at naptime, and they are usually dry when he wakes up.

Most 3 and 4 yr olds hate sitting still. Doesn't mean she is adhd. Is he mom consistent with her potty training? No diapers at all? She should be trained by now.

I bought M&Ms and every time my 3 yr old used the potty correctly she got a M&M. You can do the same with stickers or small dollar store toys. Also I only put a diaper on her when it was bed time.
