I dont think its entirely fake. I think that they only record the kids when they are at their worse and not when they are behaving. And i think the Nannys play into the kids behaviors and such. If you notice the parents, sometimes they have no emotions at all in regards to disciplining their kids, while some are over dramatic. I dont know where they find these parents who are willing to have people with cameras come into their home and tell them how to raise their children. Not me! I will raise mine the way i want to, and if someone has SUGGESTIONS, then i will listen. But i dont want anyone telling me what im doing wrong!



*EDIT- Kane M- lol there is no number, but there is a website to go to. I went there and sent a fake email asking for help with my unruly kids. LOL they never responded at all. That just goes to show that either my fake kids werent bad enough for them, or the show is false!*

All setups. If they were real why don't they give a number at end of the show so they can come take care of your trouble kids? They are 100% fake. Did anyone ever see a number for those nannies?

No, they're real. Think of it this way--you'd have to be at your wit's end to actually make that call/email (there are ways to contact). therefore, the kids would have to be truly out of control before getting to that point.

I'm a Nanny Jo fan. I'm a Early child Development major and I look to her show because she offers great advice. Did you see the show with the family with 7 kids and the dad was getting ready to leave for Iraq? OMG! At first I thought those kids were just naturally off the hook and I thought they were getting the bad habits of fighting and swearing from the oldest sister, until Nanny Jo viewed the tapes from the cameras that were in the house. That mom was a total nutcase. She cursed out the kids, didn't clean, seldom cooked, and rarely moved from her seat on the couch. even the dad was surprised at what was on the tape because he believed what the mother was saying about the kids constantly destroying the house and not listening. Does Nanny Jo ever go back to visit these families for an update, cuz i want to know what happened with them?

It is a television program designed for entertainment, so in that way I guess you could call them "fake". The incidences are likely staged to some degree, but I think they use real kids and real families. Like anything designed for entertainment, they are going to choose kids and families who a bit over the top in order to catch and keep our attention. If you watch them with an open mind with the understanding that it is just a show, I think they aren't bad programs. I don't agree with everything the nannies on those shows do, but there are some good pieces of advice to be learned.
