Before you worry too much. . . have you been using diaper rash cream on baby's rear? If I put a thick coat on my son's rear-end, the next few bowel movements look white-ish. If you have been using cream, try skipping it while you are waiting for your pediatrician's office to open or waiting for your appointment. If you still get white poop, be sure to save some to show your doctor. I've heard pediatricians comment that it is very helpful to be able to see it with their own eyes and they wish that parents wouldn't feel silly bringing it in. I have a 14-month-old and will be thinking of you. Good luck!

It can indicate milk anemia. When I was a baby - toddler - I had white stool and the doc diagnosed me with milk anemia. Have the child checked out by the doctor.

If this is not a single, isolated event, then...YES! That is a classic sign of fat malabsorption. Fat malasorption (inability to digest and/or absorb fat) can be caused by a variety of problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Have your doctor check your little one!
Best wishes.

Tell the doctor. my son had white lumps all in his stool when he was a baby and the doctor told me that my son was allergic to that milk.it sounds to me like maybe you should try some rice milk or lactose free milk and see if it helps.

You should probably call your Pediatrician on this one and have your child checked out.

I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember reading that you should consult your Pediatrician if this occurs..........
