My one year old son will be starting daycare on Monday, I need to pack his breakfast and lunch. Looking for suggestions for finger type foods easy to pick up and somewhat good for him. Any ideas?

Cold cuts, ham or turkey. Cheese, crackers, and maybe some fruit. You can buy those fruit cups, those are super easy! For breakfast you could cook a frozen waffle or pancake at home and take it with you for the school to feed him. Hope this helps! Good luck.

At this age it is important for her to have whole milk, as she needs the fat. Introduce fruits - she is probably already eating bananas? Begin inroducing citrus fruits, melons. apricots. Small pieces of whatever cooked veggies you like, and maybe raw broccoli or cauliflower as finger foods - be careful with the raw ones. Eggs are good and nutritious. Cooked breakfast cereals give good fiber - instant or regular oatmeal, grits, cream of wheat, etc. You might want to try items like guacamole, hummus, cheese and yogurt dips. Hummus can also work well as a spread on crackers. Cooked potatoes and sweet potatoes, small pieces of cheese are good. Rice, small pieces of tender chicken, mashed beans, etc. are options.
When my kids were small I used a blender to puree a little of whatever we were having, and as they got used to the taste, just mashed it or left it a little lumpier.
These links should give you lots of ideas. I hope this helps.

You can cut bit size pieces of fruits and vegetables such as apples, pears. My sister sometimes add a little peanut butter with the fruits for deeping the fruits in. Kids seem to like it.

Well i have a one year old son also and i usually feed him slices of bananas for breakfast so you could put that in a bag for him to bring to preschool for breakfast. and for lunch pack him a peanut butter&jelly sand which easy to pick up. and one year older love that. well good luck! also its good for your child to have a carton of milk every day for breakfast. and for lunch you could give him apple juice or milk either one works.

breakfast - whole wheat crackers with cottage cheese and some cut up fruit ( apples bananas etc.)
Lunch - cut up very small chicken tenders (cooked but cold is ok)... and cubes of cheese and of course some fruit!
If you don't do dairy - tofu cubes are fun too!
