My son has been ill for a very long time. the sickness is intermittent and contains many different symptoms including joint swelling, severe bone pain, extreme fatigue, paleness, flu like symptoms, neck swelling and immobility, sometimes rashes and then all of a sudden he gets well and then will go down hill again and each time it presents new symptoms or gets a little worse. He is 13. Just recently about 3 weeks ago he had a lymph node pop up on his neck. it is small-unseen but very had and stationary. I took him to his doctor 3 weeks ago who told me it was nothing. Last weekend he had severe pain in his upper left abdomen region and then had white loose stools. For three years this doctor has been unable to come to a diagnosis. She has referred us to an academic hospital for pediatric rheumatology but always says it is a mystery virus. When I took him in last time for the node she stated that I had to stop taking him in for the sniffles and the nurse acted put out with dealing with us. Just the other day my son was walking across the living room stopped suddenly and gasped. His head flew back and his pupils were huge he became extremely dizzy-laid down screamed of a headache and fell fast asleep. I decided to get another doctor which we go to tomorrow. But requested and received his medical file. His blood test baffled me...anyone have any suggestions. I want to start with this new doctor a little more educated. Mystery virus is no longer acceptable. This child has been sick with flu like conditions over ten times in the past year...

I am by no means a doctor and would suggest getting another opinion but when I read your question I looked up chronic flu like symptoms in a 13 year old and kept coming across this so maybe this would be a start.

I would also keep a journal of all his symptoms so when/if you find a new doctor you can present them with all the symptoms.

Maybe an EEG or MRI to rule out any neurological conditions. The last thing you described sounds like it could be petit mal seizure.good luck and hope you find the answer you are looking for

I wouldn't worry at all about these test results. Most of the ranges that you are talking about are adult based ranges. He is still falling into most "normal ranges" for his age. Also the few test that are off - are off by so little an amount that it wouldn't really be considered altered. Keep in mind that these test values can alter for many of reasons - antibiotics, colds, tylenol, drugs, stress, what he has eaten and when he has eaten.

He does have something that is wrong with him and hopefully a new MD can help you figure it out. I would start keeping a journal everyday and write about how he is feeling.

Once again these lab values - don't get stressed out over them.

The probation officer has his/her palms tied, because the probation order was once made via the courtroom and the courtroom ought to make the formal determination at the topic, with steering from her or him. If your son has a long run clinical hindrance, then plenty relies on how he has performed up to now. If he has accomplished a few of his hours of unpaid paintings and performed so willingly, the probation officer would practice to have the order revoked and no further penalty to be carried out. If he hasn't produced any monitor list up to now, then the courtroom will likely be requested to re-sentence. The probation officer will likely be very a lot within the riding seat in this social gathering and she or he is the pleasant man or woman to invite.

I know this may sound strange to you, but you might try taking him to a chiropractor. The main theory behind chiropractic is that by keeping the spine straight, all of the nerves and the spinal cord are able to flow freely and any blocking of those nerves and cord can be followed to the organs/places that are not getting enough of what they need due to the blockages. I have worked for chiropractors in the past and have seen many different illnesses fixed after visits with them. Even if you are weary, try it, what have you got to lose?

Goodluck.

Take him to the ER or a minor med center. I would keep going to a different practice/ doc until I got an answer I was happy with. Those are not normal symptoms, so be persistent and get an answer you are satisfied with!
