Shorter connection (1 hour 15 mins) with no T.V's which is a 6 hour 30/40 min flight including connections or longer connections with in flight personal T.V's in each seat which is a 9 hour flight included connections? Is it better to get the flight over or allow her to be preoccupied during the flight? Either way it's not a big deal because she's a good girl and is good with most things.

Go with the longer flight. If she's getting off an on the plane too often, it'll unsettle her. If it's a longer ride, she'll settle down quickly, be able to watch some tv, and probably get some sleep. If you take a shorter flight and she falls asleep, you'd have to wake her up and then get on another plane, which toddlers don't like.

Either way, bring toys, books, and a music player. And gum or candies to suck on during take off and landing (So her ears don't pop. That really hurts/disturbs some children. Even if you don't usually let her chew gum or have candies, it best that she has something to suck on during take off and landing.)

And bring a variety of small, healthy snacks, and plan to purchase water and juice on the plane (you can't take it through security).

Good luck and HAVE FUN!

I would suggest a shorter flight and get her a V-Reader or some other toddler appropriate game system to keep her occupied - heck a laptop DVD player can be bought for around $60 and she could watch episodes of Dora, Yo Gabba Gabba, or whatever she likes. She will probably take a nap at some point, but no matter it is good to have things to keep her preoccupied during the flight.

I think most people like things to keep us preoccupied, whether it be a good book or MP3 player. Toddlers are the same way, they just have different interests (usually).

I would take the shorter flight and just bring a lot of activities, likes quiet toys, books, coloring, games, a pillow and blanket at home for sleeping, no kid can be entertained with a tv for 9 hours straight and they tend to have a crash point where they get tired with it all and breakdown, the shorter the better. If you can, get her ears checked before the flight, kids ears cant take as much pressure as adults can and if she has even a hint of an ear infection, one she doesnt even notice yet, it can cause her ear drums to burst which can result in hearing loss and even death.

I would go with the shorter flight, when you can let her walk the isles, bring new toys she has never played with, bring her favorite snacks, and bring plenty to drink.
